Refund Policy

Last Updated: September 22, 2026

At Pixxelight, we take pride in delivering premium digital products, including custom web platforms, mobile applications, and brand strategies. Because our services require extensive time, engineering resources, and custom strategy from our team, we enforce a strict milestone-based refund policy.

By engaging our services and paying an initial deposit or invoice, you agree to the following terms:

1. Initial Deposits

All initial deposits and kickoff fees are 100% non-refundable. This deposit secures your spot in our production queue, initiates the research and strategy phase of your project, and allocates our engineering and design resources exclusively to your business.

2. Milestone Payments

Pixxelight operates on a milestone-based billing schedule. Once a project milestone (e.g., Wireframing, UI Design Approval, Beta Build, or Final Code Delivery) is completed and approved by the client, the payment associated with that milestone is non-refundable.

3. Fixed-Price & Single-Payment Projects

Not every project is billed on a milestone schedule. For smaller, fixed-price engagements paid as a single upfront payment, the following applies: if you cancel in writing before Pixxelight has begun any design, development, or research work on your project, you will receive a full refund, less any payment processing fees already incurred. Once work has begun — including but not limited to initial research, wireframing, or environment setup — the payment becomes non-refundable, consistent with our milestone policy above.

4. Retainer & Ongoing Services

If you engage Pixxelight on a recurring retainer or maintenance plan, retainer fees are billed in advance for the upcoming period and are non-refundable once that period has begun, as they reserve dedicated capacity on our team. You may cancel a retainer at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period, by providing at least 14 days' written notice.

5. Project Cancellation

We understand that business circumstances change. Either party may cancel the project at any time with written notice.

If the client cancels the project before completion, Pixxelight will retain all payments made up to that date for work already completed.

If the work completed by Pixxelight exceeds the amount currently paid by the client at the time of cancellation, the client will be invoiced for the unbilled hours and work completed.

Upon cancellation and settlement of all outstanding invoices, any completed deliverables will be handed over to the client.

6. App Store Rejections

Pixxelight provides end-to-end deployment services, including navigating App Store (Apple) and Play Store (Google) submission guidelines. However, final approval is solely at the discretion of Apple and Google. Pixxelight does not offer refunds for projects that are delayed or rejected due to third-party marketplace policy violations, business model restrictions, or changes in store guidelines.

7. Third-Party Costs

Any costs incurred for third-party services, including but not limited to domain purchases, server hosting, stock assets, API licensing, or developer account fees (e.g., Apple Developer Account, Google Play Console), are non-refundable under any circumstances.

8. How to Request a Refund Review

To request a refund review or discuss a cancellation, email us at contact@pixxelight.com with your project name and invoice number. We aim to review and respond to all refund requests within 2 business days.

9. Governing Law

This Refund Policy is governed by the same laws referenced in our Terms & Conditions. In the event of any conflict between this Refund Policy and a signed Statement of Work (SOW), the terms of the signed SOW will take precedence.
